X Solar Battery Limited Warranty

1. Warranty Coverage
X Solar (“Manufacturer”) warrants that its solar and automotive batteries (“Product”) are free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of 2 Years from the date of purchase. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

2. Manufacturing Defect Warranty Only
This warranty covers only manufacturing defects. Due to the nature of batteries, normal wear and tear, capacity degradation, and external factors affecting performance are not covered under this warranty.

3. Warranty Exclusions
This limited warranty does NOT cover the following conditions:

  • Capacity Loss – All batteries experience a natural decline in capacity over time. Gradual capacity reduction does not constitute a manufacturing defect.
  • Improper Installation – Damage resulting from incorrect installation, improper wiring, or failure to follow manufacturer guidelines.
  • Overcharging/Undercharging – Damage due to improper charge regulation, use of incompatible chargers, or failure to maintain proper charging cycles.
  • Deep Discharging – Batteries damaged due to excessive discharge cycles beyond recommended depth-of-discharge (DOD) limits.
  • Physical Damage – Any damage due to mishandling, impact, fire, water exposure, or environmental factors (e.g., extreme temperatures, excessive humidity, corrosion, or chemical exposure).
  • Unauthorized Repairs or Modifications – Tampering, opening the battery casing, or repairs performed by non-authorized personnel.
  • Improper Storage – Damage resulting from prolonged storage without periodic charging or exposure to suboptimal environmental conditions.
  • Parasitic Loads – Continuous power drains due to improperly wired devices or systems that cause unintended discharge.
  • Excessive Cycling – Use beyond the rated cycle life or discharge patterns outside the manufacturer’s recommendations.

4. Warranty Claim Process
To make a warranty claim, the purchaser must:

  1. Provide proof of purchase.
  2. Submit a detailed description of the issue along with diagnostic test results from an authorized service center.
  3. Ship the defective battery to X Solar for evaluation at the purchaser’s expense.

If a manufacturing defect is confirmed, X Solar will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace the defective battery with a comparable product. The replacement battery will be warranted for the remaining original warranty period.

5. Limitation of Liability
This warranty is the sole and exclusive remedy provided by X Solar. Under no circumstances shall X Solar be liable for any incidental, consequential, or indirect damages, including but not limited to loss of use, lost revenue, or damages arising from the failure of the product.

6. Governing Law
This warranty shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa . Any disputes arising under this warranty shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of South Africa .
